What is ‘Connect the Classroom’?

‘Connect the Classroom’ is a UK focused Department for Education (DfE) funded program designed to enhance UK school internet connectivity and network infrastructure.  The scheme is a government-funded programme to improve internet speed in schools, done by upgrading Wi-Fi APs and network switches. It aims to provide Eligible schools with modern, reliable, and secure Wi-Fi access, particularly benefiting older or rural schools.

27% of pupils in state-funded schools (around 2.1 million children) are classified as disadvantaged. This includes those eligible for free school meals in the past six years or those who have been in care
